ThanksLiving

In this season of giving thanks, it's common to be prompted to pause and count our blessings because this is what we're told the holiday season is all about. Sometimes, however, the holiday season can also draw our attention to our problems. We think about the family we have, the family we don't have, the gifts we are supposed to buy and the bills we still have to pay and it can all become overwhelming. Our attention is drawn to what we are lacking instead of what we have to be grateful for. Society tell us that this is the time to be grateful, but how do we do that in light of all that we are facing?

Today, I want to give you a concrete tool that you can use to refocus your attention on what there is to be grateful for. In this exercise, you are tasked with looking for evidence of what you feel you are wanting, in the world. For example, if you want to see more abundance in your life so that you can buy all those presents that you think you have to buy, start looking for evidence of abundance in the world. Today I saw an abundance of children, an abundance leaves, an abundance of people visiting loved ones, an abundance of food being consumed, an abundance of smiles, and an abundance of squirrels.

Abundance is an energy of which all of us are a part. Money is only one form of it--there are SO many others. So, today take the time to connect with the energy of abundance in the world. That includes YOU!
